The Course

Spanning over 6,500 meters at an altitude of 1,370 meters above sea level, Schoemanpark offers a course that appeals to both casual and seasoned golfers. Each hole is unique, with the 4th and 18th offering particularly memorable experiences. Tournaments

Over the years, Schoemanpark has hosted numerous prestigious events, including the Men’s Amateur Championship and professional tournaments like the Spoornet Classic. History

Golf has been part of Bloemfontein’s landscape since the late 19th century, with Schoemanpark playing a pivotal role in the city’s golfing heritage. Originally a 9-hole course started by a group of Scottish railway workers, it evolved into an 18-hole layout by 1957. Renowned for its beauty and challenge, the course has retained its classic charm while adapting to modern play. The towering bluegum trees, planted to drain waterlogged land, now frame many of the holes, creating a serene yet challenging setting

A very nice golf course! Very neat and the staff at the club house is very helpful.Although there is a drought, the greens are still in a perfect condition.The restrooms in the clubhouse is also in gteat condition.I would definitely go back and recommended this golf course to all my friends.

Brilliant and beautiful golf pitch! Probably ment for more experienced golf players for its relatively easy to lose balls in the ruff. Staff and management are extremely nice and chill. Definitely would recommend for a chill golf with friends and family or even on you're own.

The golf course is in good condition and is a great place to play golf. The service is good most of the time but their management can use some pointers on how to work with people. Their prices are good. Not expensive considering that the course is in good condition. All round great golfing experience.

Greens are fast and true.Currently fairways have been cut (maybe a tad tooooooo short with winter here) making irons from such fairways difficult.The rest of course is awesome
